Miskin Manor, Wales
Tanyth & Joseph
Miskin Manor is an idyllic hotel based on the outskirts of Cardiff in Wales that wowed me from the moment I drove onto the grounds. The gardens are the perfect setting for bridal portraits and I totally couldn’t wait to capture the day of Tanyth and Joseph the following morning. Arriving the night prior really allowed me to explore the venue and gather ideas for the best location for wedding formals and portraits.
The morning of the wedding arrived and walked into the bridal preparations room I was greeted by Tanyth and her bridesmaids who were already up and preparing for the day to commence. The bridesmaids looked elegant in a stunning grey-toned bridesmaid dressed with their hair and makeup beautifully, they were all finally ready to get our wonderful bride Tanyth into her wedding gown.
Tanyth wore a dazzling white gown with lace sleeves by wed2b, she truly was the most perfect bride and her smile was big and bright as she nervously prepared herself to walk down the Isle with her dad at her side to say I do to Joseph.
The way Joseph looked at Tanyth as she stood by his side couldn’t compare, their love was true and beautiful and it was such a delight to witness.
You may now kiss the bride! Everyone cheered and applauded as the new Mr & Mrs signed their documents to legally make them husband and wife!
All their wedding guests waited to congratulate the beautiful couple as they exited Miskin Manor to a shower of pink confetti that covered all of us head to toe it was one of the best confetti moments I have ever captured so far as there was just so much of it!
The hugging and kisses of congrats had begun and this is when I love to capture the candid natural moments which can often be so emotional to see especially with the bride and groom’s parents, proud as ever!
The family formals are always fun to capture, with amazing help from our chief bridesmaid we got the fun formals completed with time to spare for me to steal Tanyth and Joseph off for some romantic wedding portraits in the prestige grounds of Miskin Manor.
I like to capture my couples having fun and interacting with each other, I gently direct them into how to place their hands and arms, nothing too forced and only a chilled-out vibe for us all.
The wedding soon progressed Into a stunning three-course meal perfectly made by Miskin Manor to which then came the part of the day most of the bridal party fear, the speeches!
The room was filled with laughter as Joseph, the best man and the father of the bride delivered their speeches it was great to get people’s reactions to the speeches the emotion, especially towards the father of the bride always touches my heart as sends me teary!
It was time for the reception party to commence! The previous ceremony room was set up with a sparkling dance floor by A & J entertainment with colourful lighting flooding the room.
More wedding guests arrived to join the party so we then decided it was the time to cut the cake created by the fabulous Orla rose cakes!
Tanyth and Joseph made their way to the dance floor circled by their nearest and dearest for their first dance. The mood was upbeat and all the guests were invited by Tanyth and Joseph to join them on the dance floor.
The night finished with everyone dancing the night away and before it was time for me to leave the bride and groom joined me outside for some night shots, we got inventive and even used car headlights to light them up for one shot because it was fun and something new we wanted to try. Sometimes with photography, it’s great to work outside the box and experiment with different things and my couples love me for this reason.
