Paige & Jimmy

The fairytale wedding of Paige & Jimmy all began at the Idyllic award winning wedding venue Clearwell castle which is nestled in the beautiful location of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. The day was already looking to be a glorious day with the sun shining over the grounds lighting up the Georgian styled castle, it truly was a picturesque venue to hold their most perfect day,

I headed up to the perfect room for bridal preparations, a neutral large room with so much light which made for the most amazing images oh Paige turning from a miss into a future mrs ready to walk down the aisle to meet her handome husband. I had the honour to be joined by such a talented hair and makeup artist Jenna McDonnell who made our Paige’s beauty shine so much more with a glamourous natural makeup with a perfectly excecuted updo. Our bride was then ready to set foot into her dream wedding dress from TDR Bridal.

Paige’s wedding dress hung over the four poster bed of the elegant bridal suite and all her wedding party was wowed and couldnt wait to see our bride in the dress. Its always an emotional time when the brides mom or a close family member or friend which means so much to them helps them into their wedding dress. The final stages of getting ready are truly beautiful to capture from the jewellery to the flowers with the ending portraits of our bride paige with her dressed and ready to go say I do.

Here are some moments I love, the big reveal! Our gorgeous mother of the bride helped Paige into her dress but the emotion never stops with how proud this mother is of her daughter. Along with our bridesmaids wowed is always so fun to capture, each person showing a fun and out their emotion with finally Paige’s dad, we did a countdown reveal and then at first so stunned to speak after laying his eyes on his daughter for the first time as a soon to be wife, he was just so happy and emotional and Paige’s emotions matched his with happy tears all around.

The groom Jimmy got ready for his wedding day surrounded by his father and bridal party that helped him get prepared to head down to wait for his beautiful bride paige. The emotion within the room with Paige & Jimmys family and friends there to support them on starting their married lives together. Paige made her way into the stunning ceremomy room and headed down the aisle with ther dad by her side to meet her husband who looked so incredibly wowed by his future wife. They make such a perfect husband and wife and beamed so much happiness within their smiles.

Upon leaving the ceremomy the room exploded with cheers for the newlyweds and the partying was finally able to commence and of course we start with a confetti and a big group photo of everyone that has come to celebrate Paige & Jimmys special day.

The beautiful grounds of Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire are the perfect backdrop to hold the family formals and couples portraits and I truly loved every moment of their fun and bubbly personalities. The portrait session is about getting my couples to be themeselves and portray the love they have for one another and Paige & Jimmy were absolute perfection at allowing me to capture the romance as well as the silly goofy sides to their personalities.

These two truly lit up their own wedding day with how amazing they both looked.

I always love capturing the bridesmaids and best men having fun and mingling together. Of course, there is the more formal images but I love for my couples to do something a bit more playful with their bridal party!

Paige and Jimmy along with their wedding guests gathered in the grand room they took their vows ready for their wedding breakfast which is where the emotional speeches took place from the two dads as well as the best men and groom. Not a dry eye in the house along with some tears from our bride, when this happens it just shows how much the family and their wedding day means to the both of them.

Walking in through the entrance to Clearwell castle was the most perfect wedding cake by the talented Dream Bakery UK. The cake was a stunning 4-tier white cake with hand-crafted sugar roses winding around the cake. Paige & Jimmy cut into their dream wedding cake and shared a beautiful moment by taking part in such a traditional moment.

When it comes to the first dance and when the bride or groom dances with someone they truly care about like a parent, floods of emotions come pouring out by everyone, even myself. It’s always such a beautiful moment to capture and the dance floor photographs are something I like to have fun with particularly with playing with the light as I love a dramatic look for dance floor images. Especially when you turn the image into black and white I find these are so much impacting and can bring back the emotional moment over and over again. Usually, I finish capturing a wedding day after the first dance but when the dance floor is lively and crazy I always love to capture a few moments and its so much better once the drinks get flowing and the party gets started!
