In August 2023 I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful wedding in Halstead, Essex. The wedding day of Chloe & Tom! I always get so excited when a new wedding venue comes along, it gives me so many opportunitys to experiment with new ideas. With such a beautiful wedding venue with extensive grounds, Chloe & Tom had the perfect setting to hold their special day.

I was really looking forward to capturing bridal preparations at Gosfield Hall due to the room being so extravagant, the perfect place for a bride to get ready prior to saying I do. The four poster bed was the perfect place to hang Chloes wedding dress from Allure Bridals, along with her bridesmaid dresses which were the perfect shade of blue which is always a very popular colour theme I have found at weddings over the past few years. Once the makeup and hair was complete Chloe finally got to put on her dress assisted by her mother which is the perfect opportunity to get that moment of daughter and mom and the emotional moment it creates. Chloe did her reveal to her dad where we bring in the father of the bride with his eyes closed and on the count of 3 tell him to open them, the look we get to experience when the dads open their eyes truly never leaves a dry eye in the room.

The groom and his wedding party were getting ready just down the corridor. Nervous, Tom steadily got ready to head to the ceremony where his wife to be would shortly join him at the end of the aisle to say I do. Tom was joined at the front of the ceremony room with his best man who always managed to keep Tom smiling and laughing.

The ceremony room was decorated with many beautiful white flowers and blossom like trees that surrounded the registrar table, the prefect setting to say I do. The ceremony room started to fill up with all of Tom & Chloes loved ones, they all stood ready to welcome Chloe and her dad into the room. In Chloe walked a vision of beauty in the most gorgeous lace dress. Toms smile could of told a thousand stories when he looked at Chloe and how increbile she looked. The ceremony was romantic, with laughter filling the room which always makes the perfect ceremony. Marrying the person you love is the most important thing on a wedding day but having fun whilst doing it is even better!

Chloe & Tom exited the ceremony room to be showered in confetti on their procession out of the venue as husband and wife. I always love confetti at weddings it makes for great, fun wedding photos that are typically really colourful and as youll see from the confetti shots here Chloe & Tom had a fun time! The grounds of Gosfield Hall filled with their wedding guests enjoying reception drinks and canapes, filling their bellies prior to the sublime wedding breakfast that Gosfield Hall serves.

As always I took Chloe & Tom as I do everyone one of my couples out for their portrait session. An I must say the absolutely rocked it! Their bridal portraits are fun, sexy and romantic, whilst taking advantage of the beautiful scenery and weather that day at Gosfield Hall. Alot of my wedding couples are up for being creative along with me so at Chloe & Toms wedding I found it the perfect place to try what I call a Hollywood kiss and they were both up for it! The perfect shot was captured and we all had fun trying to capture it which is the most important part. i want my couples to feel comfortable and I will never force my wonderful couples to do anything they dont want to do.

The wedding breakfast followed and this often becomes a time where the groom, best man, father of the bride and others of course get really nervous to deliver their speeches. The father of the bride speech usually always makes the bride tear up and me often. Its such a comical yet emotional time and some of the speeches I get to experience are truly wonderful and Chloes dad was one of those people who delivered the perfect speech. Tom our groom put a smile right on Chloes face during his speech, they barely could take their eyes off of one another as pure happiness radiated from them.

For their cake cut they had the most perfect white cake, elegantly decorated with real flowers and they cut it in front of the entirity of their wedding guests who cheered them on in another traditional part of their wedding day. They proceeded to head to the dance floor to do their first dance. The dance floor area was cosy and welcoming and the first dance was a beautiful moment between Chloe & Tom who had an amazing time kicking off the partying of the night!
